Built around clinicians
Clinicians remain central. CorteXR is designed to support programme setup, grading, monitoring, and review rather than remove clinical judgement from the pathway.
About CorteXR
CorteXR is being developed by Nudge Reality to support stroke survivors, clinicians, and rehabilitation services with immersive VR therapy activities, clinician-led programme setup, progress review, and practical patient support.
Our aim is not to replace therapy. It is to help rehabilitation teams make cognitive practice more structured, repeatable, measurable, and relevant to everyday life.
Why it exists
Many stroke survivors experience changes in memory, attention, planning, sequencing, perception, confidence, or daily independence. Rehabilitation teams work hard to support recovery, but services are under pressure and meaningful practice can be difficult to continue consistently outside the clinic.
CorteXR focuses on Activities of Daily Living because everyday tasks give cognitive rehabilitation context. Practising tasks such as preparing a drink, shopping, sorting items, or following a sequence can make therapy feel more relevant than abstract exercises alone.
Clinicians remain central. CorteXR is designed to support programme setup, grading, monitoring, and review rather than remove clinical judgement from the pathway.
Therapy activities are based on familiar real-world tasks so patients can practise cognitive skills in contexts that connect to independence and daily routines.
The product is being shaped for hospital, community, and home-based use, with support materials for patients, helpers, and clinical teams.
Product approach
CorteXR combines standalone VR headsets, immersive therapy activities, clinician-led programme configuration, a clinical portal, and patient-facing support resources. The clinical portal remains a separate secure environment for authorised users.
The public website should help clinicians, service leads, stroke survivors, and families understand what CorteXR is for, what it is not for, and how to get support or arrange a demonstration.
Evidence and governance
Healthcare technology needs careful claims, appropriate clinical governance, and clear evidence. CorteXR is presented in an evidence-aware way: visible about the clinical rationale, careful about individual outcomes, and clear that VR should sit within clinician-led rehabilitation pathways.
For clinical and procurement partners, CorteXR can provide supporting assurance material covering clinical evidence, UK medical device information, NHS digital standards, clinical safety, and deployment support.
