CorteXR Stroke
The UKCA-marked product route for clinician-led cognitive stroke rehabilitation, with evidence, assurance, pathway-fit information, and deployment support for clinical services.
About CorteXR
CorteXR is developed by Nudge Reality to help professionals use structured activity software in real clinical and therapy settings, with clear product boundaries and practical support.
The work began in cognitive stroke rehabilitation and now includes CorteXR Stroke, the UKCA-marked clinical product route, and CorteXR Studio, a separate product for therapist-led activity sessions.
Company story
CorteXR grew from a simple clinical idea: immersive technology is most useful when it gives people a meaningful activity to do, and gives professionals something clearer to observe, adapt, and discuss afterwards.
The early work focused on cognitive rehabilitation after stroke, using virtual everyday scenarios rather than abstract exercises or novelty headset demonstrations. That thinking still shapes CorteXR today: the software is built around practical activities, supervised sessions, reviewable activity material, and support for the professionals responsible for using it.
Development and partners
The CorteXR work has been shaped through CorteXR Stroke clinical development, patient-facing stroke rehabilitation use, and support from partners connected with healthcare innovation and applied research.

From VIRTUE to CorteXR
The published VIRTUE/CorteXR clinical work explored immersive VR cognitive rehabilitation after stroke, using realistic interactive scenarios based on activities of daily living.
That evidence base belongs with CorteXR Stroke. It helps explain why the stroke product is positioned carefully, with clinical evidence, product assurance, and governance material available for services reviewing cognitive stroke rehabilitation technology.
The UKCA-marked product route for clinician-led cognitive stroke rehabilitation, with evidence, assurance, pathway-fit information, and deployment support for clinical services.
A separate product for therapist-led immersive activity sessions in professional practice, with configurable activities, review material, and optional managed headset support.
Both routes are grounded in structured activities: choose the task, supervise the session, observe how the activity unfolds, and use the material to support follow-up discussion.
Product boundaries
CorteXR Stroke and CorteXR Studio are not presented as the same product. Stroke is the regulated cognitive rehabilitation route. Studio is for therapist-led immersive activity sessions and does not replace professional judgement or make regulated rehabilitation claims.
That separation is deliberate. It helps clinicians, practice leads, procurement teams, and partners find the information that matches their setting without mixing clinical evidence, regulatory information, and general activity-session use.
Evidence and governance
For CorteXR Stroke, Nudge Reality can provide clinical and procurement partners with supporting material covering published evidence, UKCA Class I medical device information, MHRA registration details, clinical safety documentation aligned with DCB0129, DTAC evidence, data protection, security, and deployment support.
For CorteXR Studio, the emphasis is different: activity fit, practice readiness, session workflow, therapist support, and a clear product boundary for professional activity use.
Published VIRTUE/CorteXR material and medical-device information support CorteXR Stroke, not Studio.
Stroke services can request evidence, safety, data-protection, security, and deployment information.
Studio focuses on activity fit, setup, support, and review material for therapist-led sessions.
